The Government of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo -Olu has launched an emergency makeshift food market to ameliorate the suffering, and Economic Hardship that may arise following the lock down.
Speaking on Sunday to Journalists ,the commissioner for Agric Lawal Gbolahan said a total of 25 schools have been strategically selected for the makeshift market.
The Market is to ensure regular supply of food and household items to different neighborhoods in the state.
The Commissioner noted that the markets are different from the free stimulus food package program of the state government aimed at feeding two hundred thousand indigent families in the state.
The commissioner advised against panic buying as the government has made arraignments with household manufacturing companies to make essential household products available in the state.
