The Federal Government of Nigeria has admited that the lockdown and ban on inter-state movement failed to stop community transmission of Covid-19

President Buhari approves extension of Phase II of eased lockdown by another 4 weeks effective Tuesday

Ban on inter-state movement lifted but will only be allowed outside 10pm-4am curfew hours with effect from Wednesday, July 1

Government to sanction transporters that fail to observe Covid-19 preventive measures in their operations

Schools to reopen for students of final year in Universities, graduating classes of SSS 3 and JSS 3 to prepare and write their final examinations by July 13th 2020

Common Entrance Examinations for final year pupils of primary schools will be organised as soon as possible

Domestic flights to resume in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano and Owerri Airports as soon as practicable

Bars, cinemas, recreational parks, entertainment centres, night clubs remain closed till further notice

FG to provide technical support for states to mobilise additional resources for response to Covid-19 pandemic

State Governments to enforce use of face masks in public places and other measures to halt spread of Covid-19
