Lagos state government has declared three days of mourning for Victims of the Ikoyi building collapse, which occurred on Monday where no fewer than 32 persons are believed to have died in the incident.
In a statement signed by the state commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, all flags are expected to be flown at half-mast in public and private buildings while government official engagements have been cancelled during the mourning period.
According to the statement, the State government also commiserated with all those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate incident.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has visited the site three times to encourage the rescuers and console with relations of those who are believed to have been trapped in the 21-storey building.
As At the time of this report, Over 32 Bodies have been recovered from the rubbles of the building that collapsed on Friday First of November, 2021
