Lagos State government shuts down Chrisland private school over viral video.

The Lagos State government has ordered the closure of Chrisland private school ,Opebi Lagos over the viral video of a ten year old student of the school who was allegedly gang raped by her fellow students while in a school competition at Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Commissioner for education, Folashade Adefisayo in reaction to the viral video Monday morning made this public on behalf of the state government.

Meanwhile,the Nigeria police force Lagos State command has also reacted to the viral video as it’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin through a statement said the Commissioner of police Abiodun Alabi has ordered full investigations into the matter with a view of establishing the identities of the persons captured in the video as well as the alleged threat to life against the victim including the circumstances surrounding the alleged repeated pregnancy tests conducted on her without the parental consent.

Mother of the unnamed girl while calling for justice over the handling of the case by the school authority who expelled her daughter wondered why it took the management of Chrisland private school to communicate with them barely one month after the incident had occurred and why they sought to conduct pregnancy test on her daughter instead of the COVID 19 test they requested for.
