The Lagos State government in Collaboration with the Civil Society on “Scaling Up Nutrition” has formally inaugurated the state local government committee on food and Nutrition .
The initiative which officially commenced in orile Agege local council according to Speakers will help reduce the increasing rate of malnutrition amongst Children under age five .
Mothers were also advised to adopt exclusive breast feeding , to help improve the nutritional contents of new born ,thereby scaling up the current statistics put at fifty eight point six percent within one hour of Birth.
The nutrition committee will also be replicated in other local councils of the state.
