To fully drive its cashless policy the Central bank of Nigeria has taken its e-Naira sensitization to hundreds of residents of Makurdi the Benue state capital targeting at least 100 agents per local council.
Branch controller of the CBN Makurdi John Odekinna says the exercise will be a continuous one.
In October 2021 e-Naira the central bank’s digital currency
was officially inaugurated to help drive the cashless policy of the apex bank.
Months after here in Makurdi Benue’s State’s administration capital the target to get more agents on board intensifies.
A sensitization seen as quite timely as the naira swap uncertainties has made several Nigerians cash trapped and are forced to explore other alternatives to make as a result.
