TINUBU Moves To Defence House.
President -Elect Bola Tinubu has moved to the defence house in Maitama ,Abuja where he will spend the next few months before moving into the Presidential Villa.
A Source close to the President-elect told news men that Tinubu has been at his private residence in Abuja where he was receiving guests, but will move to the defense house after his engagements on Thursday 2nd Of March 2023
By law, The President -Elect will be at the place and start receiving presidential briefings till when he will be sworn in as the President on May 29,2023.
The House also called “Safe House” was built by the regime of the former Military president, Ibrahim Babangida for use of Nigerians with presidential status.
Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election conducted last Saturday, defeating major contenders from the People’s democratic party PDP P, Labour Party and New Nigeria Peoples Party.
He defeated 17 other candidates who took part in the election and scored a total of 8,794,726 votes, meeting the first constitutional requirement to be declared the winner.
He also scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required.
