FG moves 2023 Population Census to May
The Federal government has shifted the conduct of the 2023 National Population Census to May 2023.
The government says the shift in date was due to the Postponement of the Governorship and state houses of Assembly election from March 11 to Saturday march 18 2023 by the Independent National electoral commission, INEC.
Minister of information Lai Mohammed who disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja after the weekly meeting of the executive council of the Federation explained that the council approved N2.8 billion for the procurement of software for the conduct of the census in may.
Mohammed added that the federal government will do everything to ensure the success of the Excercise.
