Senate President urges prayers for peaceful transition of power
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan has urged Muslim faithful in Nigeria, in this Holy month of Ramadan, to pray for a peaceful transition of power at the national and sub national levels in the coming months.
In his goodwill message, Lawan said this Ramadan period provides an opportunity to also pray for the success of the incoming administrations both at the Federal and state levels , as they would assume the tasks of continuing the building of a virile and prosperous Nigeria.
Lawan urges Nigerians to use the opportunity to thank Almighty Allah for the successes recorded in the conduct of the General Elections
He added that Nigerians should also pray for divine guidance for the incoming 10th National Assembly so that they can also successfully perform their roles to ensure good governance in Nigeria.
