About Six People have been confirmed dead after a petrol-laden tanker exploded at Bauchi road in Jos North local government council of Plateau State .
The explosion which occurred on Thursday at about 3pm, few minutes from the University of Jos Main Campus, also left unspecified number of persons Injured, with cars, shops and buildings around the axis affected.
An eye witness, Nura Shehu, told our correspondent that so far, about 6 bodies have been recovered from the scene of the accident and blamed the accident on Break failure.
As at the time of filing in this report, number of injured persons could not be ascertain.
Meanwhile, the Jos North Council Chairman Shehu Bala, who expressed shock over the unfortunate incident while sympathizing with the Victims assured, that the council will constitute a communitee to investigate the accident with a view to ascertaining it’s immediate and remote course and put in measures to forestall future re- occurrence.
