National Youth Service Corps memers Posted to Cross River State will soon enjoy an increase in their monthly allowances along side free training on skill acquisition and other incentives within their service year.
Governor Ben Ayade made this known to the newly posted corps members to the state, during the swearing-in of the 2023 Batch “A” Stream II corps members at the NYSC orientation camp in Obubra.
Ayade who was represented by the director of finance in the ministry of youth and skill acquisition, Edum Egbala, explained that the new welfare scheme was was to appreciate the role NYSC is playing in the state economy.
He assured the corps member of enjoying Cross River State with the new incentives.
While Congratulating the Corps member for the new opportunities,the NYSC State Coordinator, Andrew Zemoh advise them to uphold the rules of engagement and avoid joining of undemocratic agitation during their service year.
NYSC coordinator lauded the commitment of the Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade for providing enabling environment towards the realisation of the objective of the scheme.
