May 6th to 12 Every Year is the International Nursing Week Celebration, an Occasion to appreciate the role Nurses Play in the health care delivery sector.
For some group of Nurses at the Nigeria air force hospital Ikeja who spoke with Our Team In Lagos,it is another Opportunity to xray their performance in the last one Year and improve on the areas of weakness.
The Celebration was marked by a week long activities which included an awareness walk around the ikeja neighborhood and environs, with particular emphasis on the dangers of rising cases of Kidney Diseases in Nigeria.
For Nigerian Nurses to give their Best to Patients,they used the occasion to call for improved remuneration and relevant Support .Some Key Players in the Health Sector have called on Government at all levels To Support practising Nurses in Nigeria through Capacity Building and Provision Of relevant tools for optimal efficiency.
Often Regarded as the life line of any Hospital, Nurses according to participants during the walk, play a critical role in Patient care.
