“Says Nigeria is in a capable hands“
President Muhammadu Buhari says he is proud to handover to President-elect Bola Tinubu as his successor
He said this on Thursday in Abuja during his address, shortly after he confered the National Honours of GCFR ans GCON the President-elect and vice president elect.
He described the ceremony as a significant milestone in the democratic journey of the country.
He congratulated the President elect on what he described as a well deserved victory during the 2023 election, Saying he has no doubt that Nigeria will continue to thrive under the leadership of The President elect.
President Buhari also said he had no doubt in the capacity of the Vice-president elect considering his strides in Governance.
He urged them not to forget the enormous responsibility that comes with the office, urging them to give their best in tackling the challenges of the country.
BUHARI said his Government has tackled headlong since inception the issues of insecurity , Corruption and other challenges.
The President also gave a scorecard of what his administration has done in terms of development of infastrucure in the country as the link between infastrucure and economic transformation is undeniable.
He said considering the experience of his goverment in 2015 he signed the executive order 14 to ensure a smooth transition process
He encourage the President-elect to upgrade his administration’s legacy as contained in the handover documents.
