The Nigerian Center for disease control NCDC has responded to reports of Diphtheria cases in Lagos and Kano States.
The agency also said that Osun,Yobe were cases have been picked up were being monitored and working with states ministries of health to enhance surveillance.
Diphtheria is a serious bacteria infection caused by the bacterium called corynebacterium species..
It affects the nose ,throat and sometimes the skin.
It is Spread through contact with an infected person and through droplets from coughing and sneezing.
Children and adults who have not received any dose of pentavalent vaccine and people living in Dirty Areas are said to be at greater risk
