The Trade Union Congress President, Festus Osifo and the National vice chairman of the Joint Health Sector Unions Obinna Ogbonna have warned President Tinubu Government against failing on agreement which led to Suspension of the three weeks strike by health workers
They were speaking at the National conference of the Natioanl Union of allied Healthcare Professionals, where former Ondo state Governor, Olusegun Mimiko decried the threat of medical Tourism and increasing brain drain in all sectors of the Economy.
The Joint health sector unions On the 5th of June met with President Bola Tinubu and agreed to suspend their strike of three weeks, Now it’s two weeks gone and the Health workers say no progress action since to address the concerns raised.
The National Delegate Conference of National Union of Allied healthcare Professionals provided another opportunity for the workers to remind the Bola Tinubu government to act swiftly not to throw the Health Sector into another indefinite strike
Apart from the concerns and demands for improved salary of Health Workers, providing conducive working environment to reduce brain drain, top the worries of the Health Workers.
