The Lagos State Emergency Management agency has activated its disaster response plan on the Helicopter Crash incident which occurred around 4pm on Tuesday Evening in Oba Akran Area of Ikeja, the Lagos State Capital.
The Helicopter containing 4 Persons including the Pilot crash landed in front of the United Bank of Africa branch on the road.
All four casualties have been retrieved from the aircraft alive. They have been transferred to hospital for further care.
The area has been cordoned off and is being blanketed to prevent a secondary incident.
All Emergency Responders are on scene.
The Helicopter with Registration Number 5NCCQ allegedly belonging to Air First Hospitality and Tour crashed into a building and went in flames in Oba Akran Ikeja area in Lagos
The Helicopter was said to be on test flight from the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos
Meanwhile the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has visited the site of the Helicopter crash in the State and commended the efforts of the first responders as well as residents who joined in the rescue mission.
Speaking with newsmen after assessing the site of the crash, Sanwo-Olu, who was on his way from the Airport after joining President Bola Tinubu on a trip to Benin Republic, said no life was lost in the unfortunate incident.
The Governor commended the State Emergency Management services and residents of the neighborhood who participated in putting out the fire from the aircraft after it crash-landed.
He expressed gratitude to God that the incident did not result in any fatality, saying an extensive investigation into the incident would be carried out by the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB).
