The Coordinating Minister of Health and social welfare, Prof Ali Pate has urged Nigerians to cooperate with the Port Health Officials at the various entry point to avert the entering of Bed Bugs into the Country from France
The Minister said it has become expidient to heightened surveillance at all Port of entry into the country following the outbreak of bed bug infestation in France and other Parts of Europe.
According to a press Statement signed by the Director Media and Publicity, Patricia Deworitshe, the Coordinating Minister of Health and social welfare, Prof Ali Pate, has assured the Public that measures and responses were already in place to contain the Bed bug infestation Nationwide.
Bed bugs are small flat reddish-brown wingless insects that infest beds, sofas, luggages and other Furniture .
The insects are associated with Poverty and Dirtiness in Most rural Communities and dirty environment
