The President Bola Tinubu led Government has expressed commitment to closing the housing gap and ensuring shelter for the vulnerable population.

Mahmuda Mamman, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Housing made this known at the 12th Meeting of the National Council on Lands, Housing, and Urban Development in Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria.

The 12th National Council of Land, Housing and Urban Development meeting provided a platform for in-depth discussions on various aspects of housing development in Nigeria, policy frameworks, financial models, and collaborative efforts, needed to stimulate the real estate sector and provide adequate housing for the growing population.

The Permanent Secretary, Mahmuda Mamman, expressed optimism about the meeting’s outcomes, deeming it a crucial step towards achieving sustainable and inclusive housing development in Nigeria.

Expectations are high that the insights gained, and decisions made during the deliberations, will lead to tangible progress, in housing development, positively impacting the lives of millions across Nigeria.
