The Government of Lagos State has initiated a public health Campaign against monkey Pox to prevent the importation of the virulent clade 1 B spreading fast in Central Africa.
Speaking at a media briefing,The Commissioner For health Professor Akin Abayomi said there is no active case of the disease in Lagos .
He However Urged residents to be on guard given the high risk of importation of the Virulent variant through the Airport
Monkey Pox is a viral infection that originated from the Animal Kingdom and it spreads from An effected Person to Another through Close Contact and Sexual interaction.
