GOSPEL CORNER: STOP DISQUALIFYING YOURSELF AND CONFESS YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS!

01/10/23

Let me share something powerful with you about righteousness. In Romans 10:6, God’s Word tells us that the “righteousness of faith speaks.”

Now, what does this mean? It means that God encourages us to not just believe in our hearts that we are righteous but to also speak it out!

So righteous one, declare your righteousness. Every day, boldly say, “Father, I thank You that I am righteous in Christ, not because of what I have done, but because of what Christ has done. It’s a gift and I receive it with all my heart.”

I believe that when you speak and declare your righteousness, good things happen. You become conscious of all the blessings and all the promises that are due the righteous.

Instead of disqualifying yourself, you’ll start to believe God for good success, favor, and wisdom. Experiencing provision becomes effortless because you know your right standing in Christ. So stop disqualifying yourself and confess your righteousness!

TODAY’S WORD

29/09/23

Today’s Scripture
He found him out in the wilderness, in an empty, windswept wasteland. He threw his arms around him, lavished attention on him, guarding him as the apple of his eye.
Deuteronomy 32:10, MSG

The Wilderness

The “wilderness” represents barrenness, no growth, a wasteland in our lives. You’re doing the right thing, but your business is not increasing, your marriage is not getting better, your health is not improving, you were passed over for another promotion. You’re in the wilderness. You feel stuck, restricted by your environment. In those dry places, you could be discouraged, thinking it will never change. No, get ready. God knows where you are.

He’s watching you in the lonely nights, the times you were betrayed, those days when you felt like giving up, but you kept going. You were hurting, the pain was real, but you didn’t let it stop you. He’s about to come and throw His arms around you and lavish His grace upon you. You’re going to see increase that you can’t explain, favor that you didn’t deserve, healing that doesn’t make sense, freedom from things that have held you back. Now get in agreement with God. “Lord, I receive it into my spirit. Amaze me with Your goodness. Make me the apple of Your eye.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for loving me so much that at times You take me into a wilderness place to show me who You are. Thank You that no matter where I go or what I go through, You find me, wrap Your arms around me, and lavish Your grace upon me. I believe I am the apple of Your eye. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

SECTION TWO

The solution to money problems is the wisdom of God. Today, as you believe God for increase, I want to encourage you to ask God first for wisdom with regard to all the provision challenges that you are facing right now.

In James 1:5, we learn that if anyone lacks wisdom, “let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

The wisdom of God will help you to identify and solve the money problems that you are currently experiencing. Don’t prioritize accumulating material things. God’s Word declares that wisdom is the principal thing. My friend, in all your getting, get wisdom and understanding!

DON’T GO THROUGH LIFE THINKING LITTLE OF YOURSELF, FOCUSED ON YOUR WEAKNESSES, DWELLING ON YOUR FAILURES. THAT ONLY MAKES YOU FEEL BAD ABOUT YOURSELF.

Today’s Word

Today’s Scripture
…that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
Philemon 6, NKJV

SHINE
If we want our faith to be effective, we must acknowledge every good thing we have in Christ. You can’t go around acknowledging the negative—your weaknesses, the times you didn’t measure up, or how you should be more disciplined. Don’t go through life thinking little of yourself, focused on your weaknesses, dwelling on your failures. That only makes you feel bad about yourself.

Start acknowledging the good that Christ has done in your life, step into the potential God has put in you, let that personality He gave you come out and shine. Don’t be your enemy; be your asset. Be your biggest fan. Nobody should think better of you than you, because you recognize God breathed His life in you. When you acknowledge the good, when you say, “Lord, thank You for the strengths and the talents You put in me, thank You for Your gifts and for Your favor, thank You for taking me where I’ve never dreamed,” then your faith is made effective. You’re going to see God show out.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You for entrusting me with good gifts and talents and dreams. I acknowledge that I have greatness in me because of what Christ has done for me. Help me to step into my potential and let my personality shine. I believe You will show out through me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

SECTION TWOWould you agree with me that more Christians today know about the Ten Commandments than about the new covenant of God’s unmerited favor? For that matter, if you walked down Times Square in New York City and started to interview people at random, most would probably have heard about the Ten Commandments, but know nothing about the new covenant of grace that came by Jesus Christ.

In fact, the world identifies Christianity with the Ten Commandments. Isn’t it sad that the world knows us by the laws that are obsolete and not by the unmerited favor that Christ died to give us?

It is no wonder we are losing a whole new generation of young people to the world! The law holds no appeal or attraction, and the Bible itself calls the law obsolete (Heb. 8:13). If we keep on shoving the Ten Commandments down the throats of our young people, don’t be surprised when they are turned off by legalistic forms of Christianity.

More importantly, don’t forget that the strength of sin is the law. The law has no power to stop sin. The law will not impart to them their precious identity in Christ, which will give them the strength to abstain from premarital sex, prevent them from getting into drug abuse, and stop them from losing their sexual identity. Only God’s own sacrifice on the cross can give them their new identity as a new creation in Christ Jesus!

Young people, when you catch a revelation of Jesus and just how precious you are in His sight, your lives will be supernaturally transformed. You will stop being harassed by suicidal thoughts. You will stop wanting to put yourselves at risk to “fit in” or to get the attention that you crave.

Young ladies, you will come to see and value yourselves differently as you learn to value yourselves in the same way Jesus values you. Overflowing with Jesus’ perfect love for and acceptance of you, you will not be under the illusion that you need to give your bodies away to find acceptance and love from some guy. You will love yourselves as Jesus loves you!

Young men, you will develop supernatural self-control to manage your raging hormones. You will do it not by your own willpower but through Jesus’ power flowing through you. You will learn how to flee youthful lusts. You will know that being “cool” means respecting the opposite sex, and not putting yourselves and your girlfriends at risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases and having unwanted pregnancies.

Young people, when you know that Jesus has an awesome destiny laid out for you, the desire to be involved in gangs and destructive activities such as alcohol and drug abuse and promiscuity will dissipate in Jesus’ unmerited favor and love for you. Supernaturally, your desires for the things of the world will disappear as they get replaced with the desire for Jesus!

HOUSE OF REPS INVITE NCC OVER MOHBAD’S SONGS

27/09/ 2023

Read Details As House Of Reps Invite NCC Over Mohbad’s Songs

The House of Representatives has called upon the Nigeria Copyright Commission to protect the rights of the songs and lyrics of the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

This decision was made on Tuesday during the plenary session in Abuja on Tuesday, following a motion by Rep. Babajimi Benson.

During the plenary session, Benson highlighted that Mohbad’s sudden death on September 12 has sparked widespread discussions and protests.

He stated that the youth have been chanting his name and demanding an investigation, culminating in a tribute concert attended by various musicians.

According to him, it is clear that Mohbad’s fans are struggling to accept his untimely passing.

He furthered that Mohbad, also known as Imole, meaning “light” in Yoruba, was an artist who promoted peace and positivity through his music.

Benson emphasised that Mohbad’s departure from Marlian Records, owned by Naira Marley, in 2022 was due to several grievances, including unpaid royalties. According to him, this situation reflects a larger issue where artistes face difficulties in asserting their rights.

He added that it reveals a troubling industry practice, showcasing the struggles faced by young artistes in Nigeria. To him, they [the artistes] often find themselves trapped in exploitative contracts and face intimidation when trying to terminate these agreements.

He furthered that Mohbad’s case is not an isolated incident, as many artists in the country find themselves caught in unfavourable contractual arrangements.

According to Benson, the lack of creative freedom and financial growth for artists can lead to disputes and even violence. He explained that many Nigerian artistes are forced into unfair contracts due to the absence of substantial institutional funding in the music industry, stating the importance of addressing this issue for the industry’s growth and sustainability.

Benson expressed concern that most of the late artist’s earnings were going to the Marlian Music Group, and there has been no effort to protect his estate, despite being a globally recognised digital artiste.

The House paid tribute to Mohbad and emphasised the need to protect the rights of young artists in their contracts with record labels. They called for close monitoring of the investigation into Mohbad’s death, particularly regarding allegations of harassment and unpaid royalties.

The House also urged the NCC to collaborate with record labels, artists, legal experts, and industry associations to establish and enforce industry-wide guidelines.

The guidelines should guarantee fair treatment, transparent contracts, and adequate compensation for artists. They should also assess current copyright and contract laws in Nigeria to identify areas that require reform.

The House has also asked its Committee on Justice and Legislative Compliance to ensure that these guidelines are followed.

A VISION OF THE END TIME BY GLORIA BAMILOYE THAT YOU MUST HEAR ABOUT

27/09/23

I saw a wonderfully big train, very long to the extend that I could not see its end, it carried different kinds of passengers of both men and women, young and old of different languages and races.
On the side of the train was a tittle – THE SAINT ON THEIR JOURNEY TO HEAVEN.
Suddenly, I saw people jumping out of the train as a result of delay in their daily food and it got to a time when I particularly wanted to get out but an old man behind me urged me to exercise more patience, he added that those that were leaving the train had been Spiritually injured though physically they may look healthy but their spiritual lives had been endangered, that was why they could not continue with us again in the journey.
Reluctantly, as I wanted to have my sit. I saw another man holding a trumpet making an attempt to blow it. Immediately I saw this I quickly ran towards the old man in order to hug him in appreciation of the advice he gave me. But to my big surprise, instead of the man having a cheerful look at me, he was crying profusely and bitterly. I then asked him the reason behind his crying.
He told me that he was not happy due to the fact that billions of saints had gone out of the train as a result of challenges of life and situation many of them found themselves.
“But sir, this is worthy of celebration because we have made it already”. I said unto the man. “Of what benefit is it if we make it but miss our children, wives, family members, relatives, friends pastors, church members, leaders and other people that are very close to us in one way or the others? The old man asked. He added that some of those that won many souls into the train are no longer in the train, some of those that helped us in the train are now found wanton in the journey. “What can we do now?”I asked. Hmmmmm “Let’s try all our possible best to start shouting their names, calling them to come back for the trumpet is about to sound” he answered.
Immediately, we started calling them with a louder voice, ‘Pastor, G.O, Reverend, brethren, etc. Surprisingly, I saw many of them coming back towards the train but they have been in one way or the others injured to the extend that some of them were crawling like babies because they have been seriously injured.
The old man concluded that every Christian should make use of the gifts and resources at their disposal to call people back into the kingdom before the trumpet is finally blown.
Please join the team of the end-time evangelists by sharing the message with your friends, family and other contacts on your phone, Thanks. I just fulfil mine.
The GRACE TIME is fast running out, do something NOW before its too late. God bless you. Jesus loves you and still relying on you.
I pray we all shall not miss heaven 🙏(Amen)

THE REASON YOU HAVE CHALLENGES IS BECAUSE THERE’S SOMETHING AMAZING IN FRONT OF YOU.

Today’s Word

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
Psalm 60:12, NKJV

UNDER ATTACK
It’s easy to feel discouraged when you feel you’re under attack, when the odds are against you, when you don’t feel equipped for what you’re facing. “Under attack” is the wrong perspective. You’re not under attack; you’re in a battle. Under attack implies, “I’m not strong enough. I’m outnumbered.” Both are false. You and God are a majority. You have the most powerful force in the universe on your side. But a mind-set that says you’re shortchanged or at a disadvantage is not going to move you forward. The reason you have challenges is because there’s something amazing in front of you. The enemy wouldn’t be fighting you if you didn’t have greatness in you. He’s trying to keep you from taking new ground for the kingdom. Don’t fall apart. Get your sword out and start praising God, start declaring His Word, start speaking His promises. “What was meant for my harm, God is turning to my advantage. What He started in my life, He’s going to finish. With God I will do valiantly.”

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You that I am not on my own, I am not weak, and I am equipped for whatever I am facing. Because You are with me, I know that I will do valiantly, break through the barriers of the past, and take new ground for the kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

SECTION TWO
I used to think that among Jesus’ 12 disciples, John was the Lord’s favorite disciple and the one who was the closest to Him because the Bible calls John “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” I was under the impression that John had a special favor with Jesus, and always wondered what made him so special that he stood apart from the other disciples. Don’t you want to be known as the disciple whom Jesus loves? I do!

Then one day, when I was reading God’s Word, the secret of John’s favor dawned on me. The Lord opened my eyes and showed me that the phrase “the disciple whom Jesus loved” is actually found only in John’s own book! Check it out for yourself. You will not find this phrase being used in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. It is found only in the Gospel of John. It is a phrase that John used to describe himself!

Now, what was John doing? He was practicing and personalizing the love that Jesus had for him. We are all God’s favorites, but John knew the secret of accessing Jesus’ unmerited favor for himself. It is your prerogative to see yourself as the disciple whom Jesus loves, and to call yourself that!

When I started to teach that the secret of John’s favor lay in his personalization of God’s love, the people in my church literally stepped into a new dimension of experiencing God’s unmerited favor in their lives. I have seen how some of them really took this revelation and ran with it. Some of them customized the wallpapers of their cell phones to say “The disciple whom Jesus loves,” while others signed off their text messages and emails with the phrase.

As they kept reminding themselves that they are the disciple whom Jesus loves, they began to grow in the consciousness of the Lord’s love for them. At the same time, they began to grow in being favor-conscious!

I have piles of praise reports on how our congregation members have been so blessed just by being conscious of Jesus’ favor in their lives. Some of them have been promoted, some have received spectacular increments to their paychecks, and many have won various prizes at company functions and in other contests, including all-expense-paid vacations.

The world calls this “luck,” but for the believer, there is no such thing as luck. There is only the unmerited favor of Jesus!
