GOSPEL CORNER: SO “ALL” MEANS ALL. GOD’S FORGIVENESS OF OUR SINS COVERS EVERY SIN—PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE! WHEN WE RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS OUR SAVIOR

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
…and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 3:24, NIV

GRACE COMES
If anyone understood the meaning of the grace of God, it was the Apostle Paul. Even though he was the biggest enemy of the early church, Paul says “the grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly” with forgiveness and a call into God’s service.

In today’s Scripture, the word Paul uses for “freely” in the original language is “promiscuous,” which means that God’s grace will go to anyone. If someone is promiscuous, they’re unrestrained. That’s the way God’s grace is. It’s not looking for perfect people. You can be struggling with an addiction, and grace will come looking for you. You can be working in the wrong type of place, and grace will come knocking at your door. You can be dishonest and manipulative, and grace will show up at your house. You can be discouraged, thinking you’ve messed up too many times, you’ve brought your troubles on yourself, and grace still comes. You can’t get so low that God won’t stoop down. His grace is unrestrained for you today. It doesn’t have limitations.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You that I have been freely justified by Jesus’ redemption and that Your grace is abounding in me. Thank You that the power of Your grace has the same transforming effect in me as it did in the Apostle Paul. I believe that Your grace has no limits. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

SECTION TWO

When I preach on our total forgiveness in Christ, someone will inadvertently ask, Pastor Prince, if all my sins are forgiven, that means my future sins are too. But how can my future sins be forgiven?

Well, that’s a great question. The reality is, when Jesus died on the cross two thousand years ago, all our sins were in the future.

There are people who argue that there is no Scripture that says that all our future sins are forgiven. They teach that when we receive Jesus, all our past sins are forgiven, but our future sins are only forgiven as we confess them and ask God for forgiveness.

First let me say to those who claim there is no Bible verse stating that our future sins are forgiven, that there is also no Bible verse stating that only our past sins are forgiven! But there is a Scripture that clearly states, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Eph. 1:7, emphasis mine).

In the original Greek text, the verb for “have” is in the present tense, which indicates durative action, meaning we are continually having forgiveness of sins, including every sin we will ever commit.

Furthermore, in 1 John 2:12, it says, “I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.” The Greek perfect tense is used here for “are forgiven,” meaning this forgiveness is a definite action completed in the past, with the effect of this action continuing into the present. This means that God’s forgiveness avails for you in your present, and continues into your future. Do you see that?

Next, I want you to consider today’s Scripture. Colossians 2:13–14 declares that Jesus forgave all our sins! The word “all” is the Greek pas, meaning “every kind or variety . . . the totality of the persons or things referred to.” It refers to “all, any, every, the whole.”

So “all” means all. God’s forgiveness of our sins covers every sin—past, present, and future! When we received the Lord Jesus as our Savior, we received the total and complete forgiveness of all our sins.

In Hebrews 10:11–14, the Bible says, “And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”

Now, according to this Scripture, as a believer, for how long are you perfected? Forever! How can you be perfected forever, if your future sins are not forgiven? Obviously, they are!

GOSPEL CORNER: WHEN YOU LEARN TO RIGHTLY DIVIDE GOD’S WORD, I BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL BEGIN TO SEE HIS GRACE, HIS LOVE, AND HIS SECURITY FLOOD EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE.

25/09/23

When our Lord stood in the synagogue in Nazareth and read from the book of Isaiah, He proclaimed the acceptable year of the Lord and stopped reading just before the words, “and the day of vengeance of our God.” In doing so He showed us how to rightly divide the Word of God as today’s Scripture instructs us to do. He made it precisely clear that we are in the age of grace.

When you learn to rightly divide God’s Word, I believe that you will begin to see His grace, His love, and His security flood every area of your life. Let me share with you a precious testimony of restoration that illustrates this. Valerie, a lady from Illinois, shared:

“I became a believer almost twenty years ago and my life changed tremendously. Despite being saved, I felt that something was still wrong because I was repeatedly diagnosed with cancer—four times in all.”

“After my last relapse of cancer, I watched Pastor Joseph Prince on television and ordered his materials. The first thing I remember learning was that all of my sins have been forgiven! Before that, I was taught of the need to repent and receive forgiveness from God whenever I sinned. I also learned that God was not looking at my performance to accept me, love me, or bless me, but at Jesus’ finished work on the cross. What a deep blessing these truths were to my heart, body, and soul!”

“I became a partner with the ministry and today, I have all of Pastor Prince’s teachings and I meditate on them all the time. Now, my walk with the Lord is amazing! I no longer feel condemned or guilty and I am no longer walking in fear! I also have a revelation of Christ’s love for me and I have an intimate relationship with Him.”

“With God’s help, my finances have also improved. I am fifty-six years of age and I now have my first home! On top of all this, I am cancer-free, have witnessed salvations in my family, and am enjoying better relationships with my family members.”

“I can’t express in words how much Pastor Prince’s ministry has blessed my life. It is forever changed! My eyes have been opened to GOD’S GRACE and I will never go back to my old beliefs and ways of thinking.”

Isn’t it amazing that as Valerie began to learn how to rightly divide God’s Word, she began to experience God’s abundant restoration in quite literally every area of her life, that included an intimate relationship with Him, restoration of physical health, and blessed family relationships?

This is such an encouragement to my team and to me because preaching the gospel of grace is all about helping and lifting up God’s precious people. I am deeply humbled and grateful to be a part of this grace revolution that is transforming one life, one marriage, and one family at a time across the entire world. All honor, glory, and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ!

MISSING INTESTINES: ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN PRIVATE MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS (ANPMP), LAGOS STATE CHAPTER

24/09/23

PUBLIC NOTICE

RE:THE CASE OF ALLEGED
MISSING INTESTINES
SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT

We have followed with keen interest the trending case of the alleged missing intestine. We are concerned by the misconceptions, half-truths and outright falsehoods being peddled in the media.

We as an association wish to first and foremost express our deep sympathy to the family of now deceased Adebola Akin- Bright.
We have refrained from commenting on this issue in public for obvious reasons, we are however constrained to state some facts just to set the record straight because it is said that, “repetition makes a fact seem more true, regardless of whether it is or not”.

We have been able to establish some privileged and incontrovertible facts based on available scientific evidence at our disposal some of which we will share here:

1:- The patient was first operated on at Obitoks Hospital 6th of March 2023 on account of ruptured appendix after he was referred from a medical centre where he was managed for typhoid enteritis.

2.) It was discovered on the operation table that there was abscess which will require a different management approach to drain. (The appendix at that time must not be removed because of the abscess). The patient however got better afterwards.

3.) The patient presented again about 3 months later and a diagnosis of obstructed intestine was made which necessitated operating on the abdomen again to relieve the obstruction.

4.) It is of a fact that the parents were invited into the operating room to see and confirm the point of obstruction and the 4 inches of the small intestine to be removed, out of the about 24 feet of the normal small intestine.

5.) It was also established that the patient was referred to the tertiary centre 8 days post-operation at the request of the parents.

6.) It is a fact that the patient was admitted in LASUTH on the 17th of June.

7.) The patient was however eventually operated upon on the 14th of July 2023 (i.e. 28 days after admission in LASUTH). It is therefore strange how the story of the missing/disappearing intestine gained prominence in the media in a patient who was on admission in a public facility (LASUTH) for almost 28 days.
The question to then ask is, how did the patient survive for 28 days without intestine?

8.) In addition to this, It was also established as confirmed by ultrasound scan and X-ray done at LASUTH on the 19th of June (I.e. 3rd day on admission) that there was the presence of normal intestinal movement.

9.) The Panel constituted by the State HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY in an attempt to investigate this matter was done without including a doctor on the panel. This makes the job of this respected panel difficult.

There was clear evidence that members of the panel were genuinely ignorant of some of the workings of the medical profession which became obvious from some of the questions posed during their sitting.

10.) It is important to note that the honourable members of the panel also demonstrated a clear case of witch-hunt and working to a predetermined answer by attempting to reduce the session to a “Yes” and “No” session for our member from the private hospital while the doctor from the government hospital involved in the management of the deceased was given the latitude to give a detailed report.
The bias was taken to a ridiculous level when the same doctor who operated on the patient at the government hospital was asked to assess and determine the response of the doctor who operated on the patient in the private hospital. A case of being a judge in your case you would say!
Of course, the doctor seeing the absurdity of the request cleverly declined.

11.) A similar panel set up earlier by the Ministry of Health (HEFAMAA) that had a surgeon on seat had confirmed that the X-ray films taken while the patient was on admission at LASUTH also showed the presence of the intestines.

  1. Information available to us also confirms that a large mass of black tissue was removed at LASUTH and handed to the patient’s mother to take to histopathology laboratory by the team that operated on the patient at LASUTH after they came out of the theatre.

13.) Strangely, the government through their agency, HEFAMAA rushed to seal up the theatre of the private hospital, while the government hospital where the patient was operated on and eventually died was left to continue to operate as if nothing happened.

  1. We have to emphasise here that matters of this nature deserve thorough investigation by a well-constituted professional team and the only body empowered by law to investigate such cases is the MDCN (MEDICAL AND DENTAL COUNCIL OF NIGERIA)

15.) The call for the arrest of the private doctor we believe might have been borne out of immediate emotional reaction to the news of the unfortunate death of the deceased. There is no rationale whatsoever to call for the arrest of the doctor for simply doing his job, especially when the government hospital involved and his personnel are left untouched.

Finally, We are monitoring the events closely as they unfold and we are ready to follow this to a logical conclusion to stop this attitude of vilifying the private medical practice at every opportunity.

GOSPEL CORNER: DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE BELOVED AND HIGHLY FAVORED BY GOD?

24/09/23

Do you believe that you are beloved and highly favored by God?

Ephesians 1:6 says, “to the praise of the glory of His grace [unmerited favor], by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” It is not possible for us to make ourselves accepted. We are made accepted by the glory of the Lord’s unmerited favor.

The word “accepted” in Ephesians 1:6 is the Greek word charitoo. Now, the root word for charitoo is charis, which means “grace.” So charitoo simply means “highly graced” or “highly favored.” In other words, you are highly favored in the Beloved!

Now, we know that “the Beloved” in Ephesians 1:6 refers to Jesus. If you read on, it says in the next verse that “In Him [Jesus the Beloved] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace [unmerited favor].” Now, why didn’t the Bible just say that we are highly favored in Jesus or in Christ? (There are no insignificant details in the Bible.) Why did the Holy Spirit choose specifically to say that we are highly favored “in the Beloved”?

“Beloved” is a warm and intimate term that was used by God at the Jordan River to describe Jesus. The Bible tells us that when Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, “He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, ‘You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased'” (Mark 1:10–11).

God the Father spoke publicly and His words were recorded for you to know that to be “accepted in the Beloved” means that God is well pleased with you today. See yourself sandwiched right smack in the midst of Jesus, God’s Beloved. When God looks at you, He doesn’t see you in your failures and shortcomings. He sees you in Jesus’ perfection and loveliness!

Because you are in Christ, God says to you, “You, ___ (insert your name here), are My beloved, in whom I am well pleased.” Jesus is well-pleasing to God because He kept the law perfectly. You and I are well-pleasing to God because we are accepted and highly favored in the Beloved, who took all our sins and fulfilled the law on our behalf!

Immediately after Jesus was baptized, He was led into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. The devil came to Jesus and said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread” (Matt. 4:3). Now, don’t forget that Jesus had just heard the voice of His Father affirming Him with the words “You are My beloved Son.” Do you notice that the devil deliberately left out the word “beloved”?

Friend, for the devil’s temptations to work, he cannot remind you that you are God’s beloved. The moment you are reminded of your identity as God’s beloved in Christ, he will not be able to succeed! It is no wonder that the devil wants to rob believers of their sense of being God’s beloved. So don’t fall for the devil’s trick. Remind yourself today and every day that you are God’s beloved!

SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR INJECTING MOHBAD IS NOT A NURSE …LAGOS NANNM

23/09/23

ELIZA DD

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) Lagos State Council, has said the person reportedly arrested for injecting Mohbad is not a registered Nurse.

The Association disclosed this in a Press Statement signed by the State Secretary, Toba Odumosu, on Saturday, September 23.

“The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Lagos State Council, expresses its deepest condolences to the family and associates of the late musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as we mourn his tragic passing.

We fully support the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding his d£ath and urge the relevant authorities to leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice for him.

However, we must stress the importance of professionalism in reporting and conducting this investigation. NANNM is closely monitoring the situation with keen interest. Our preliminary investigations indicate that the individual reportedly taken into custody by the police for providing care to Mohbad is not a registered Nurse.

We emphasise the critical need to verify the qualifications and professional status of individuals before labelling them as healthcare professionals.

Furthermore, we call on the investigating authorities and the media to exercise caution and accuracy in their reporting during this investigation. We will not tolerate any misrepresentation of Nurses and the Nursing profession,” the statement reads in part.

WHEN GOD BRINGS BLESSINGS ON YOUR LIFE, SOMEONE WILL BE JEALOUS AND TRY TO STIR UP TROUBLE. STAY ON THE HIGH ROAD. DON’T PAY ATTENTION TO THE CRITICISM

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the LORD blessed him.
Genesis 26:12, NLT

STAY ON THE HIGH ROADß
In Genesis 26, Isaac was living among the Philistines in a time of great famine. He stepped out in faith and sowed seeds despite the drought, and God blessed him with a hundredfold harvest. He became a wealthy man, with large flocks of sheep and great herds of cattle. He was blessed so abundantly that the Philistines became jealous. All was well with the Philistines until Isaac’s business took off. They first clogged up Isaac’s wells, then the king told Isaac he had to move because he was too powerful. Isaac could have argued, could have started a fight, but he understood that with the blessing comes persecution. He kept his peace, moved on, and God brought him into a better place.

When God brings blessings on your life, someone will be jealous and try to stir up trouble. Stay on the high road. Don’t pay attention to the criticism of small-minded people. When you refuse to get bent out of shape, nothing can keep you from the abundance that belongs to you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You for the promise to bless me right where I am, even when I face opposition and ridicule. I believe that You will multiply me even in the midst of famine. I receive Your peace and declare that I will stay on the high road and avoid conflict. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

SECTION TWO

One day, when I was studying the Word, the Lord said to me, “Notice how goodness and mercy follow you in Psalm 23:6.” Then, He brought me to John 10:4, where it describes how the shepherd goes before the sheep and the sheep follow him.

In a flash, the Lord opened my eyes to see a divine sequence: When you follow or pursue Him, the good shepherd, His goodness and mercy and all the blessings you need in life will follow after you!

My friend, don’t pursue the blessings. Pursue Jesus, the blesser. As you pursue Him, you don’t have to be concerned about the blessings because they will follow after you!

In fact, the Hebrew translation of Psalm 23:6 is much stronger and more aggressive. It literally says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall HUNT ME DOWN all the days of my life!”

Today’s Scripture
The LORD rewarded me for doing right. He has seen my innocence.
Psalm 18:24, NLT

Closer Than You Think
In Psalm 18, David says that God rescued him from powerful enemies “in the day of my disaster” because he kept doing the right thing when it was hard. God sees when you’ve been good to people who aren’t good to you, when you stay on the high road instead of paying people back. God is saying, “I’m about to settle your account. I’m about to vindicate you, promote you, and suddenly turn things around.” You won’t see it coming, but suddenly He’s going to thrust you to a new level, thrust you to abundance, thrust you into greater influence, honor, opportunity. You’re going to come out with much more than those who try to stop you.

You are closer to your payback than you think. Don’t get tired of doing the right thing. Your due season is coming. The unfair situation, the bad break, or the people who left you out never go unnoticed. God sees your innocence, your faithfulness. When God pays you back, it will be more than you can imagine.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are a God of justice who rescues and vindicates me. Thank You that the time comes when You say it’s payback time, and You will settle my accounts. I’m going to keep doing the right thing and believing that things are about to turn around. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

SECTION TWO

In Old Testament times, once a year, on Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement, the high priest would go into the Holy of Holies and sprinkle the blood of an innocent animal on the mercy seat. After the blood of the sacrifice was sprinkled on the mercy seat, all God saw of the ark of the covenant was the blood, and no longer the rebellion and failure of man.

However, under the old covenant, the blood of the animal sacrifices only covered the sins of the children of Israel for one year. What happened on Yom Kippur was only a shadow. Our Lord Jesus is the substance. He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, and His sacrifice on the cross was once and for all (John 1:29, Heb. 9:12)!

In Exodus 25:17–22, the Lord told Moses, “You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold . . .. And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. . . . of one piece with the mercy seat. And the cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and they shall face one another; the faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the Testimony that I will give you. And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.”

Where will the Lord speak from? From above the mercy seat. That is what my ministry is all about. I am preaching from above the mercy seat, preaching about His mercy and grace, about His shed blood, and about His finished work. There are people who are preaching from the judgment seat, preaching about the law and how we have fallen short.

The wages of sin is death. Under the law, there is no escaping death. But this ministry is all about the Lord’s mercy, grace, favor, love, and protection.

Under grace, Jesus died our death on the cross. He was punished with the death we deserved for our sins. He gave up His protection on the cross, so that we may walk in divine protection today. Hallelujah! Doesn’t this just fill your heart with assurance and peace today?
