The Union said it earlier received a directive by the Police which was hinged on the respect for the court order by the Area court Bukuru with great joy as workers who were eager for such a development resumed work in earnest, but their joy was short-lived when on the 26/08/2023 a press release by the Police Authority signed by its PPRO titled ” Total Unsealing of 17 Local Government Secretariats and offices of the Local Government Chairmen in Plateau State” was issued.

GOSPEL CORNER: STOP BELIEVING THE LIE THAT GOD GIVES YOU SICKNESSES, DISEASES, AND ACCIDENTS TO PUNISH YOU OR TEACH YOU A LESSON.

27/08/23

Stop believing the LIE that God gives you sicknesses, diseases, and accidents to punish you or teach you a lesson. These things are from the devil, and because of Jesus’ finished work, we have been redeemed from every evil work and curse. We can receive protection from every evil occurrence, sickness, and disease. And by the stripes on Jesus’ back, we are healed!

Don’t fight for the right to be sick and defeated when God is full of grace and mercy, and wants you to be healthy, blessed, and protected from all evil occurrences! Start to expect good gifts from the Lord. Reject anything that even remotely suggests God is angry with you, and disciplines you with sicknesses and accidents. He is a good God and a good father!

GOSPEL CORNER:WHEN HE IS YOUR SHEPHERD, YOU WILL NOT WANT FOR ANYTHING. HE IS YOUR SUPPLY OF EVERYTHING YOU NEED.

27/08/23

When I was a young believer, I heard a preacher say, “In order to draw a straying lamb to him, a shepherd will break its legs. When it’s unable to walk, he will nurse the lamb back to health. Once it’s healthy again, the lamb will be attached to him.” That terrifying picture of a shepherd stuck in my head for years!

One day, I was able to ask a real shepherd if that story was true. Aghast, he replied, “That’s nonsense! What kind of shepherd does that?”

Sadly, there are people today who still believe this nonsense. Beloved, Jesus is our good shepherd (John 10:11). When He is your shepherd, you will not want for anything. He is your supply of everything you need. He does not “break your legs.” Instead, He leads you to places of rest, refreshing, healing, and renewal of strength!

NOTICE THE POWER IS ACTIVATED ONLY WHEN WE BELIEVE. THAT MEANS RIGHT NOW THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE IS JUST WAITING TO RELEASE HEALING, RESTORATION, FAVOR, PROMOTION, AND ABUNDANCE. THE ONLY CATCH IS THAT WE HAVE TO BELIEVE.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him.
Ephesians 1:19, NLT

POWER OF BELIEVING
One of the greatest abilities God has given each of us is our ability to believe. The apostle Paul prayed that we would understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe. Notice the power is activated only when we believe. That means right now the Creator of the universe is just waiting to release healing, restoration, favor, promotion, and abundance. The only catch is that we have to believe.

It’s not complicated. God didn’t say, “If you will pray three hours a day, I’ll do it for you.” No, He said, “If you believe.” If you believe, you can be successful. If you believe, you can overcome mistakes of the past. If you believe, you can fulfill your God-given destiny. When you believe, you have the Almighty God fighting your battles, arranging things in your favor, going before you, moving the wrong people out of the way. You couldn’t have made it happen in your own strength, but because you are a believer, the surpassing greatness of God’s power is at work in your life.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You for the incredible greatness of Your power that I can activate by faith. When You put a promise in my heart that seems impossible, I want to learn to respond with three simple words, ‘Lord, I believe.’ I believe and declare that I am going to see Your goodness in amazing ways. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

SECTION TWO:

I encourage you to take some time each day to get the revelation of your righteousness in Christ deep into your spirit. Meditate on it and declare it every day. It will put courage in your heart and bring an unshakable peace to your soul. It will energize your faith when you pray and give you a confident expectation to receive good things from your heavenly Father.

I believe that’s why our heavenly Father, in knowing the things that we need daily, tells us not to worry about them. What are we supposed to do then? We are to seek first “His [Jesus’] righteousness”—the righteousness that He has given us—and all the things that we need will be added to us.

Beloved, when you know that your right standing with God always puts Him on your side, every fear will melt away like butter on a hot day. For if God is for you, who or what can successfully prevail against you (Rom. 8:31)?

ASUU REJECTS NEW UNIVERSITIES  CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION BY SEPT. 2023

25/08/23

ELIZA DD

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, has rejected the implementation of the core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards, CCMAS from September 2023.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, is also threatening a showdown over the decision.

The  Acting Executive Secretary of the  National Universities Commission, Chris Maiyaki had directed All Nigerian universities to begin CCMAS  implementation from the start of a new academic session in September.

In 1989, the Nigerian University System used the Minimum Academic Standards, MAS, to  ensure Undergraduates programmes met global competitiveness.

In 2007, the MAS was replaced with the Benchmark Minimum Academic standards, BMAS, which also raised the Cummulative Grade Point Aggregates, CPGA for undergraduates to 4. 49 to 5 Point as First class.

By 2018, following advancements in information and communication technology among others,  the National Universities Commission, started work to introduce the Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards, CCMAS.

After much deliberations both with academics, industries and private sector players, the NUC says the CCMAS, with 30 percent input from universities, is ready for implementing in the new Academic session by September 2023,but the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, disagrees with the NUC, saying the CCMAS will further drag Nigerian Universities Ranking to rock bottom in the global stage.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Philippians 2:3, NKJV

ESTEEM
We don’t hear the word “esteem” very much today, but the Scripture tells us to esteem one another. To esteem means “to hold in high regard, to honor and value,” even if you don’t always agree with them. Sometimes people think, “That person doesn’t act honorably, so why should I honor them?” But the truth is, we are to honor and esteem people because they are valuable in the eyes of God.

If you had a very valuable piece of jewelry, you wouldn’t wear it to the gym or leave it at the office. No, you would treat it carefully. You would put it in a safe place and protect it. It’s the same way with people. When we see others as valuable the way God sees them, we treat them carefully. We speak respectfully. We look for the good in others and honor them for who God made them to be. Choose to esteem and delight in one another. Sow good seeds into your relationships and see a harvest of blessing in every area of your life.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the people You have brought into my life. Thank You that every one of them is created in Your image and of immeasurable value. Help me to esteem people and love them like You do through my actions and my words. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

SECTION TWO

A precious young lady who had been listening to my sermons wrote to me rejoicing over receiving a miracle she had been believing God for. She shared:

“This time, I didn’t go to God with my good works and my obedience to try to earn this blessing. All I did was believe and confess how, through the finished work of Christ at the cross, I have the undeserved favor of God and His own righteousness. And even though I had failed the test and an interview, because of His favor, I still gained admission to a reputable university in Germany on a full scholarship. Depending on Jesus’ grace alone, I received this breakthrough. I’m going to believe and confess His grace and love for me for the rest of my life! “

Isn’t it wonderful that when we depend on Jesus’ grace alone, doors of opportunity, success, and provision open to us? May this testimony encourage you in whatever you are believing God for today!
