ANOTHER 26 COVID-19 PATIENTS DISCHARGED IN LAGOS

The Lagos state government has discharged another set of 26 COVID19 patients in the state.

14 out of the newly released patients are males and 12 females including 2 foreign nationals – a Polish and a Filipino.

14 of them were released from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba while 12 were released from the Onikan Isolation Centre .

They were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

With this, the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos are now 225,Confirmed Cases 992,Active Cases,And Deaths 21

There is a geometric progression of Confirmed Corona virus cases being recorded in Nigeria.

Health Facilities are getting overwhelmed, with the likelihood of under reported cases.

If this situation continues, more private facilities approved for the management of covid-19 cases are likely to get more involved in cases management to save lives.

With the stigmatization of health facilities regarded as exposed to the virus, Covid- 19 Patients And the damaging fake news churned out on some social Media platforms, there may be a situation where Medical personnel And Hospitals would start rejecting Patients if nothing urgent is done.

The Governor of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned Another world class Isolation centre at The Gbagada General Hospital.

The 118 Bed space ward will no doubt help improve Patients care in the fight against covid-19 in the State at a time when pressure is beginning to mont on existing facilities with confirmed cases of over 992.

Since the outbreak of the corona virus in Lagos state from the 27 of February, 992 Confirmed cases have been recorded,722 Active cases,199 Successfully treated and Discharged,20 Deaths and 16 transferred

By Monday 4th Of May Year 2020,the five weeks lockdown declared by the Federal Government on Lagos State Ogun State And the federal Capital territory will be over with a few group of people allowed to resume normal commercial activities ,though with some form of restrictions like the 8pm-6 am Curfew ,the compulsory use of nose masks.

Twelve 12 New Covid19 patients have been successfully treated and discharged on Thursday Evening in Lagos.

Nine out the newly discharged Patients are males and three females including a Ukrainian.

State governor babajide sanwo olu announced this on his verified Twitter handle this Thursday

With this , Lagos now has a total of one hundred and ninety nine 199 recoveries in the State.

The Chief Medical Director of the Yaba infectious Disease hospital Bowale Abimbola has been reported positive to corona virus.

Abimbola is said to be receiving treatment at one of the hospital Wards.

Abimbola has joined the list of numerous workers in Lagos state that have been infected with the virus on their line of duty.

Lagos state a few hours ago ,recorded the death of a twenty five year old Male.

The deceased as at the point of Admission was said to be in a state of breathlessness.

This brings to a total of twenty deaths in Lagos state since the outbreak of the disease on 27 the of February 2020.
