She noted that the Airport rescue and firefighting services team had saved the situation as initial suspicion points to sparks from an electrical unit as the cause, but investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Orah also revealed that the incident which had escalated into a fire was brought under control at 06.41am, adding that all flight operations in the terminal one of the MMIA have been diverted to the D wing of the Airport
Today’s Scripture “Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 1:8, NIV
NO FEAR God told Jeremiah that He had set him apart before he was born, that He had called him to speak to nations, and that he would be a prophet who would impact the culture. Jeremiah was a teenager and felt unqualified, but God told him He would give him the words to speak. Wherever Jeremiah went, God’s hand of favor would be on him. After God spoke all these incredible promises to him, He finished by saying, “Don’t be afraid of the people.” God knew that people wouldn’t understand Jeremiah, that people were not going to like the words of warning he was going to speak to them, that friends might walk away. God was saying, “Don’t let the opinions of others hold you back. Don’t let what they think or say keep you from fulfilling your purpose.”
God is saying the same message to us: “Don’t fear the people. If they don’t approve you, that’s not going to stop your purpose.” What will stop you is if you let their opinion become more important than what God put in your heart.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY “Father, thank You that You have given me everything I need to fulfill my purpose just as You did for Jeremiah. Thank You that I am enough because You made me just as I am, and I have Your approval. I declare that I will not be afraid if others don’t approve me or even oppose me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
SECTION TWO
Beloved, the more you grow in your revelation and valuation of how Jesus’ finished work has placed you in Him—in the secret place where you are safe, protected, and secure—the more you’ll find your heart at rest instead of filled with worry and fears.
Something powerful happens in your heart and in your outward circumstances when you begin to value being in Christ, in the secret place of the Father’s care, protection, and love.
Let me give you an illustration of what it means to value something. Suppose I brought you an old, dusty violin with two missing strings and I said to you, “Isn’t this beautiful?” Your reaction would probably be, “That’s not beautiful; that’s old and worthless.”
But if I told you it’s an original Stradivarius that used to belong to a world-famous violinist, all of a sudden, your appreciation of this dusty, old violin would swell and you’d ask if you could hold it. What happened? Your appreciation of the violin changed when you understood its true value.
In the same way, I want to encourage you to value the preciousness of what it means to be in Christ—being in the secret place of inseparable closeness with Him, where we have His loving presence constantly with us, watching over us and protecting us.
I strongly encourage you to keep hearing anointed preaching that keeps revealing who you are and what you have in Christ. Keep hearing grace-based teachings on God’s promises to protect you, as well as praise reports of God’s grace and protection over His people.
Why? Because as you do, you’ll begin to value being in the secret place more and more. As you do, you’ll find your heart and mind more and more at rest in Him.
You’ll wake up every morning confident of His tender care, protection, and preservation. You’ll live life full of hope and zest instead of worry and fear, and see Him deliver and protect you from whatever the enemy may throw at you!
Kuriba® — winning the war against Malaria (An editorial in commemoration of 2024 World Malaria Day.)
“Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity.” — Hippocrates
Problem is an integral part of life that has made some people to be consistent in their pursuit of solutions to common problems. In the word of Betty Williams, “there’s no use talking about the problem unless you talk about the solution.”
And finding a solution to any common problem is not only a way to make the world a better place for healthy living, it’s also the easiest route to create wealth — lasting wealth that comes with peace of mind.
Malaria is a plasmodia disease caused by some plasmodium species such as P. falciprum, P. vivax, P. ovale etc. Female Anopheles mosquito is the vector.
A water-arthropod disease, the measures to control Malaria should among other things address the environmental factors and the mosquito vector, while effective treatment should target the plasmodium parasite or pathogen in the human body.
Malaria, a debilitating infectious disease characterized by chills, shaking, and periodic bouts of intense fever is one of the major killer disease in tropical regions of Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America.
Yes, malaria is a killer disease that has killed millions of people — and it is still killing people today, despite some great pharmaco-medical breakthroughs.
The high morbidity and mortality rates of Malaria persist because both the infecting parasite and its mosquito carrier have, to some extent, become resistant to most antimalarial and insecticides. This is where Kuriba stands out today!
What is Kuriba?
Kuriba capsule is a novel herbal remedy registered by NAFDAC for the management of feverish conditions. It is a combination therapy containing 5 different medicinal herbs with established antimalarial activities among others. Being a new product, the chances of malaria parasites becoming resistant to it, at least for now, is rare if not impossible.
Apart from having synergistic effects, the different mechanisms of action of the constituent herbs will make it very difficult for any species or strain of malaria parasite to develop resistance to it.
With Kuriba, the health profession now has additional product to fight the malaria war and curtail its menace.
However, there is need for more collaboration and research on this product, with emphasis on post marketing surveillance.
Being invented and formulated by Livy-Elcon Emereonye, a pharmacist, naturopath, herbalist, and a research fellow who also authored the book: “Malaria War — the winning strategies”, interested individuals and concerned organizations should look into this product to authenticate its potency and ensure its accessibility.
The government, in whatever capacity, should partner with the inventor and manufacturer of this product with a view to subsidize the cost and make it available to those that will benefit from it.
Kuriba capsules can be used as complementary or alternative remedy. It can also be for prophylaxis.
The possible side effects of Kuriba include GIT disturbances, nausea, and vomiting.
Kuriba capsules is proudly manufactured in Nigeria by Letonia Int’l Ltd.

AND JESUS, WHO IS “THE SAMEYESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER,” WILL Diy7O THE SAME FOR YOU TODAY. HIS HEART STILL BEATS WITH COMPASSION FOR YOU. HE WILL NEVER MISS AN OPPORTUNITY T0 DO GOOD TO YOU—

JOEL OSTEEN MINISTRIES TODAY’S WORD
Today’s Scripture Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly. Mark 8:25, NLT
HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF? In today’s Scripture, after Jesus initially put His hands on the blind man’s eyes, the man could see but his vision was blurred. Everything was out of focus. Then Jesus touched his eyes a second time, and the man’s sight was completely clear.
How is your inner vision? How do you see yourself? Perhaps your vision is blurred by what people have said. “You’re too small. You’re too inexperienced. You’re not talented enough. You don’t have what it takes.” You may struggle with low self-esteem. You see yourself as not measuring up. You have to change that picture. You’ll change that blurred vision when you get in agreement with how God sees you. He said you are fearfully and wonderfully made. He calls you a masterpiece, one of a kind. Why don’t you get your image in line with God’s image? If you change your pictures, you’ll change your life. If you have the right inner vision and see yourself strong, talented, anointed, favored, with a bright future, you’ll reach the fullness of your destiny.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY “Father, thank You that You have the power to open my eyes and help me to see my life clearly. Thank You that where my vision has been blurred and I’ve seen myself as less-than, Your Word shows me the right picture. I believe that I am becoming who You say I am. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
SECTION TWO
Jesus had prioritized divine healing during His earthly ministry. The Bible tells us that He went about “doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil” (Acts 10:38).
In fact, anyone and everyone who came to Him for healing—whether it was for their children, servants, friends, or for themselves—received their healing. Not a single one who had come to Him went away without receiving healing from Him.
And Jesus, who is “the same yesterday, today, and forever,” will do the same for you today. His heart still beats with compassion for you. He will never miss an opportunity to do good to you—to heal you of your broken body, emotional scars, and weary spirit—and to bless you!
Today’s Scripture Rejoice in the Lord always. I will sayit again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4, NIV
REJOICE God did not create you to live depressed, stressed out, worried, or frustrated. He intends for you to be joyful, peaceful, contented, and happy. Take an honest look at your life. Is there joy deep down inside? Do you get up in the morning excited about your future? Are you enjoying your family and friends? If not, what is stealing your joy and causing you to live upset?
Joy does not depend on your circumstances; it depends on your will. To “rejoice in the Lord always” is a choice that you make. It’s a decision that you’re going to enjoy each day whether your plans work out, or whether they don’t. Sometimes, everything that can go wrong will. When you have one of those days, dig your heels in and just go with the flow, knowing that God is working all things out for your good. Refuse to let the negative thoughts play in your mind and tune in to thoughts of joy, peace, faith, hope, and victory. Believe that God is in control and always choose to be joyful.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY “Father, thank You that no matter what my circumstances are, I don’t have to live stressed and frustrated and discontent. Thank You that You have made this day and I can rejoice and be glad in it. I will choose joy because I know You are in control. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
SECTION TWO
Isn’t the above passage beautiful in the King James Version? You can make the Lord your habitation.
First John 4:16 says, “God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” The more you stay in His love, the more God Himself becomes your dwelling place.
No evil shall befall you and no plague shall come near your dwelling. And as you make Him your dwelling place, He protects your dwelling. No plague shall even come near your home!
In another psalm, it is written, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Ps. 46:1). As we make the Lord our city of refuge and allow Him to put us upon His shoulders, He becomes our “very present help” even if we encounter trouble.
Iris from Australia experienced God’s protection for herself when a cyclone hit the area she lived in. Read her testimony here:
A mini cyclone hit our street and the surrounding area recently. As I huddled in the hallway with my husband and our cat, I declared, “Thank You, Jesus, that You are the calm in the storm!”
When the wind stopped, we went outside and saw a lot of fallen trees on the road. The trees in our street were huge and as tall as thirty meters. As a result, many cars were crushed by the trees and some houses were also damaged. My husband’s work car was damaged slightly but our family car was left unscathed. And praise the Lord no one was injured!
As the damaged trees were being cut down across the road, I realized something. The path of the wind had cut through a few properties across the road and when it came near our house, it stopped completely! It did not come near us and our house was completely undamaged.
Everyone in our street was so surprised that the big tree in our backyard was untouched and that we had no cleanup of our own to do. Praise Jesus! He is the calm, peace, and protection I need!
Wow, praise the Lord! I love this testimony—when the Lord Himself is your refuge and your protection, even cyclones have to stop in their tracks when they come near you!
Health of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF), an ecology-focused Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) has called for a drastic reduction in the use of plastics to save planet Earth from suffocation. HOMEF notes that celebrating Earth Day is an annual event designed to shed light on serious environmental problems faced from the climate crisis to air pollution and deforestation.
“World Earth Day reminds us as humans that the Earth is ours to protect and preserve but over time humans have abandoned their roles in protecting the planet because of selfishness and drive for profit. The International Mother Earth Day’s theme this year ‘Planet Vs Plastic’ urges us to build a liveable future for humans, other beings, and natural systems.
We stand united in our fight against non-biodegradable waste pollution. Our addiction to single-use plastics suffocates the planet. Plastics can take hundreds of years to decompose, clog our water bodies, and cause harmful impacts as a result of their chemical composition. Sadly, the world is literally a plastic civilisation due to a vested interest in hydrocarbons and ease of application. The Executive Director of Health of Mother Earth Foundation, Dr Nnimmo Bassey, while advocating for urgent action to ban the production and usage of single-use plastics. He further urged action by everyone to be involved in efforts to kick out plastics.
“Now is a critical time to choose between planet and plastic. Good sense tells us to choose the planet, our Mother Earth that sustains all lives. Poor sense driven by profit urges humans to choose plastics because of the ease they bring, despite the harmful impacts on our health, climate, and overall health of the planet. “As we mark World Earth Day 2024, the alarm must be sounded that it is time to uproot plastics from their fossil base or be ready to be turned into plastic humans living plastic lives and heading to an infernal plastic future. At HOMEF, we are all for the planet, people, and all life forms,” Bassey said. HOMEF noted that research has shown that 380 million tonnes of plastic are now produced every year, while only nine percent of plastic ever produced has been recycled. Campaigns around the world calling for a 60 percent reduction in plastic by 2040 are commendable and worthy of support.
At Health of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF), we believe in the intrinsic Rights of Mother Earth and the rights of humans and other beings to be respected and to live in dignity. It is time to build up courage and to preserve and protect our health, and our livelihoods by embracing alternatives that are sustainable, healthy, and safe for the planet. We must stop all forms of destructive extractive activities in Nigeria, Africa, and the World. The Planet vs Plastics campaign is a call to arms, a demand that we act now to end the scourge of plastics and safeguard the health of every living being on our planet,” We are submerged in a sea of plastic wastes, from our creeks to the ocean. It’s time we did better!”
— We all have a role in saving the environment. See something, Say Something.

The National Assembly has thrown it’s weight behind the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons on the case of organ harvesting against Alliance hospital.
This decision is coming after months of investigation and legal proceedings following a petition filed by Dr. Otabor challenging his detention by NAPTIP.
According to a statement issued by Communication Officer, NAPTIP, Adekoye Vincent , it stated that the case, which has been brewing since March 18, 2024, when the defendants were arraigned before the High Court of the FCT, revolves around accusations of organ (kidney) harvesting.
The statement further read that Dr. Otabor, alongside Emmanuel Muyiwa Olorunlaye, Chikaodili Ugochukwu, and Dr. Aremu Abayomi, has been ordered to report to NAPTIP Headquarters in Abuja daily and surrender their travel documents to the court while on bail.
NAPTIP explained that during a session on April 18th, 2024, the Director of the Legal and Prosecution Department of NAPTIP, Mr. Hassan Tahir, informed the Committee that the matter was already before a court of competent jurisdiction, emphasising the importance of respecting legal proceedings.
The trial is set to commence on May 6th, 2024.
In a decisive ruling, the Chairman of the Committee, Honourable Mike Etaba, emphasised the importance of due process, instructing Dr. Otabor to return to court and face the charges brought against him.
This ruling underscores the National Assembly’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that serious allegations such as organ harvesting are addressed through proper legal channels.
The decision to compel the defendants to face the charges demonstrates a resolute stance against human trafficking and illegal organ harvesting, signalling a significant step towards justice and accountability in Nigeria’s healthcare system.

One of the most beautiful parables in the Bible is the parable of the father of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32). Many commentators call this the parable of the prodigal son, but the real hero of this story is the father and his love for his two sons. It’s a parable that Jesus used to skillfully unveil to us the true heart of our gracious and loving heavenly Father.
Please take a few minutes to read through the full parable, and as you read through it, consider this: What is your opinion of God, especially when you’ve made a mistake? Do you see Him as an all-powerful, distant, and unfeeling judge who is angry whenever you fail and who constantly has to be appeased?
Or do you know Him as your Daddy, your Abba Father whom you can run to anytime, even when you have fallen short? Do you see Him as unwaveringly and patiently waiting for you to return to Him and then racing down the road to meet you with tears streaming down His face, embracing you, and raining His kisses upon you?
As I was studying the Word, the Lord revealed to me that many believers have come to a place where they have forgotten their heavenly Father. They have forgotten about His love, His grace, and His loving-kindness.
They relate to God in a judicial and transactional fashion, coming before Him with apprehension and trepidation, presenting their failings to Him and quickly leaving before they get the punishment and condemnation they think they rightly deserve from Him. They perceive Him exclusively as a God of holiness, judgment, and justice—His face steely and stern, His mighty arms folded in dissatisfaction and disapproval. They see a God who is easily displeased, quick to anger, perpetually disappointed with them, and waiting impatiently to be placated.
This wrong belief of who God really is has driven many into fear, guilt, depression, and insecurity. And that is why it’s so vital we see the heart of the Father as unveiled by Jesus in this timeless parable.
Beloved, do you see His heart of love for you? There is a vacuum in our hearts that can only be filled by the Father’s love. I believe that if you would allow the Father to come into your heart today and fill you up with His perfect love, you will find the joy, confidence, fulfillment, and freedom that you have been looking for in life.
“Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you” (Ps. 91:9–10, boldface mine). The Word of God does not say that no evil shall befall “the world.” It says that no evil shall befall you.
Verse 10 goes on to say, “nor shall any plague come near your dwelling,” and that includes your family. Beloved, let this Scripture strengthen and anchor your heart.
Because you have made the Lord your refuge, no plague will come near your dwelling. Protection from strains of viruses that science does not yet have a cure for—Ebola, Zika, or AIDS—is God’s promise to you and your household!
Have you made the Lord your refuge? Today’s Scripture says, “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Interestingly, the Hebrew word for “trust” is chacah, which is the root word for “refuge” in Psalm 91.
In other words, to make the Lord your refuge is to trust Him in all things. Trust Him with your plans, with your life, and with your family. Trust Him for His leading and wisdom. Confide in Him.
Our Lord Jesus is not distant; He is not a Savior who is far away. He is so personal . . . so near you. There is safety and 5 when we draw near to Him and dwell in 5 His house.
In the natural, the world is getting darker and darker. But don’t look around you and be distressed. Don’t look inside you and be depressed. Look to the Lord Jesus and be completely at rest!
