Contrary to reports of the Chief of Staff Abba Kayari being at the Yaba Infectious Disease center isolation in Lagos,The Lagos state government says he does not know the were about of the Chief of Staff .

The General Overseer Of The Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye has donated eight thousand Cartoons of Hand Sanitizers,Two hundred thousand Hand gloves And Eight Surgical face Masks to support the efforts of the LAGOS state government in fight against COVID-19.

While presenting the donations at the mainland Hospital Yaba, The Assistant General Overseer Admin /Personel RCCG Pastor John Odesola said the Church recognizes the efforts of Health workers

Pastor Odesola also noted that the Church has provided for every household in the Church.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God in it’s corporate social responsibility has been at the fore front of providing for the less privileged and victims of Emergency situation.

They have contributed in no small measures to the health care delivery across Nigeria

The Lagos State Government has eventually discharged five Covid-19 Patients much talked about in the past few days at Yaba Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital in Lagos state

The patients who were discharged on Monday appreciated the Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu for his support,and other notable Nigerians who are supporting the fight against the disease.

The Patients were admitted 15th of March after they tested to the positive to the Virus.

The Discharge of this Patients has further brought hope to the masses who are beginning to see the disease as a death sentence for people.

The Patients Appealed to the Government on the need for life insurance for Health workers

This brings to eight the total number of discharged patients from the Centre since the index cases was recorded in Lagos

TO ARREST WHAT SEEMS LIKE A GEOMETRIC PROGRESSION ON CORONA VIRUS SPREAD IN NIGERIA ,THE NATIONAL AGENCY FOR FOODS DRUGS ADMINISTRATION AND CONTROL NAFDAC HAS ORDERED FOR THE MANUFACTURING OF CHLOROQUINE FOR EMERGENCY STOCK FOR POSSIBLE CLINICAL TRIAL TREATMENT OF CORONA VIRUS.

THIS WAS MADE KNOWN IN A PRESS RELEASE MONDAY BY THE AGENCY.

NAFDAC SAID THROUGH HER REGULATORY ACTIVITIES WILL ENSURE THAT CLINICAL TRIAL PROTOCOL GUILD LINES ARE FOLLOWED TO ENSURE THAT THE TEAM OF CLINICAL RESEARCHERS SUCCEED IN STOPPING THE RANGING PANDEMIC.

NAFDAC HAS HOWEVER WARNED THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO DESIST FROM THE USE OF CHLOROQUINE WITHOUT GUIDANCE OF A MEDICAL DOCTOR OR CLINICIANS FOR TRIAL TREATMENT OF COVID-19 DUE TO POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS SUCH AS GASTROINTESTINAL UPSET BLURRED VISION, HEADACHE AND ITCHING.

CHLOROQUINE AN OLD ANTI MALARIA WAS FIRST TESTED IN THE IN VITRO LABORATORY USING STANDARD ASSAYS TO MEASURE THE EFFECTS ON THE CYTO TOXICITY VIRUS YIELD AND INFECTION RATE OF COVID-19.

The Government of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo -Olu has launched an emergency makeshift food market to ameliorate the suffering, and Economic Hardship that may arise following the lock down.

Speaking on Sunday to Journalists ,the commissioner for Agric Lawal Gbolahan said a total of 25 schools have been strategically selected for the makeshift market.

The Market is to ensure regular supply of food and household items to different neighborhoods in the state.

The Commissioner noted that the markets are different from the free stimulus food package program of the state government aimed at feeding two hundred thousand indigent families in the state.

The commissioner advised against panic buying as the government has made arraignments with household manufacturing companies to make essential household products available in the state.
